 Stayed at the Townhouse as part of a sponsered bike ride. Excellent place to stay, rooms clean, great shower and super breakfast. We'll be back, maybe by car next time!

In a very convenient location for just about everything. It's close (but not too close) to the railway station, city centre, and the M6 motorway, making it perfect for day trips to the Lake District and Hadrian's Wall. Our en suite room was clean, spacious and quiet, well-furnished with a big and very comfy bed. Breakfast was brilliant! Christine was full of local knowledge and ideas for places to eat. Harry the Jack Russell made v welcome.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend your B&B and when in the area again you will be the 1st people we call for rooms.

If we every get up there again and have to stay the night "THE TOWN HOUSE" is where we will stay.
